Direct buses to Dubai Mall for Eid

To avoid congestion in Downtown Dubai during Eid holidays, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has urged visitors to Dubai Mall to use public transport.
Every holiday season the Downtown area sees massive congestion and residents and visitors flock to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa.
“To ensure smooth flow of visitors and to reduce congestion we urge people to use public transport. We have made special arrangements for the four days from the first day of Eid and we urge people to use the available transport facilities,” said Adel Shakeri, Director of Transportation system.
To facilitate the commute, RTA has extended the metro service hours till 2am for Eid holidays, while special buses will also operate from four locations to Dubai Mall.
Buses will be available at The Address Hotel and the Burj Khalifa metro station.
She also added that special traffic plans have been put in place to ensure there is no congestion.
“Directional signs have been put in place to guide motorists to the internal roads in Downtown Dubai and Business Bay area. Motorists will also be guided to alternative routes to and from Dubai Mall,” she added.
Traffic is also likely to be diverted to alternative parking locations in case the parking space gets full in Dubai Mall and Downtown area.
