Direct buses to Dubai Mall for Eid
To avoid congestion in Downtown Dubai during Eid holidays, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has urged visitors to Dubai Mall to use public transport.
Every holiday season the Downtown area sees massive congestion and residents and visitors flock to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa.
“To ensure smooth flow of visitors and to reduce congestion we urge people to use public transport. We have made special arrangements for the four days from the first day of Eid and we urge people to use the available transport facilities,” said Adel Shakeri, Director of Transportation system.
To facilitate the commute, RTA has extended the metro service hours till 2am for Eid holidays, while special buses will also operate from four locations to Dubai Mall.
“Beginning the first day of Eid Al Fitr, non-stop buses will operate from Deira City Centre, Satwa, BurJuman and Karama to
Dubai Mall for four days in a row,” he said.He added that the buses will run from 3pm to 12 midnight and the frequency of the service will depend on the demand.

Dubai Mall as well as in areas that see traffic congestion during Eid.Special parking arrangements have been made near Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and shuttle bus service will be provided from the parking lot to Dubai Mall.

lot.In addition to the Dubai Mall bus service, a 24-hour bus service (C01) will serve Airport Terminal 3, Union Metro Station, Al Fahidi Metro Station and Satwa Grand Mosque.
Bin Adai added apart from buses, largest number of taxi will be available in Downtown area.“Additional taxis will be deployed at the Dubai World Trade Centre as an alternative venue to use when the demand for taxi service in the mall builds up during peak hours. The Dubai Taxi Corporation has agreed with franchise companies to operate more than 90 per cent of the taxi fleet in full capacity during Eid days,” she said.

Buses will be available at The Address Hotel and the Burj Khalifa metro station.
She also added that special traffic plans have been put in place to ensure there is no congestion.
“Directional signs have been put in place to guide motorists to the internal roads in Downtown Dubai and Business Bay area. Motorists will also be guided to alternative routes to and from Dubai Mall,” she added.
Traffic is also likely to be diverted to alternative parking locations in case the parking space gets full in Dubai Mall and Downtown area.
