Bosses at Wigan Royal Infirmary arranged for dying grandmother Sheila Marsh, 77, to be reunited with her beloved horse just hours before she lost her battle with cancer. The mare named, Bronwen, gently nuzzled up to her frail owner as they said an emotional goodbye. Today the family of Mrs Marsh thanked hospital staff for 'going the extra mile' to give the dying pensioner comfort in her final hours.
