2 Unlimited back to Dubai

Eurodance duo of the 1990s 2 Unlimited are to return to Dubai on January 11, kicking off Societe nightclub’s weekly set of throwback gigs called ‘Decades’. The pair performed at Cavalli Club last year in June.

The duo, who were formed in 1991 and is made up of rapper Ray Slijngaard and Dutch vocalist Anita Doth, will perform a slew of their chart-topping hits, includingGet Ready For This, Twilight Zone and No Limit. With 18 million records sold worldwide, their sound has been known to incorporate elements of techno and hip house.

Societe, located in Dubai Marina Byblos Hotel, plans to have more blast-from-the-past acts from the ’80s, ’90s and ’00s every Sunday night. Due to January 12 being a public holiday, 2 Unlimited’s performance was moved to the Saturday before.

On January 26, English R&B vocalist Shola Ama will perform, with popular songs such as Imagine, Taboo and her latest record with Toddla T, Take It Back. On February 2, ’90s Northern Irish pop group D-ream will hit the club with their hits U R the Best Thing and Things Can Only Get Better.
