RTA announces revised paid parking, Metro, bus timings during Ramadan

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the timings set for different services during the holy month of Ramadan covering customer service centres, public car parks, public buses, Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, marine transit modes, and strategic partners’ centres.
Revised paid parking timings
In line with the revised parking tariff and structure in place in Dubai since May 28, there will be no mid-day interval for paid parking areas during Ramadan.
Yousef Al Reda, CEO of RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, explained how the revised parking timings will work this year.
“As for the timing of paid parking zones in Dubai, the fee would be activated in all car parks coded A, B, C, D, & G from 8am to 10pm from Saturday to Thursday. Code E fare would be applicable to the Fish market parking lot daily from 8am to 11pm. Code F fare would be applicable to the parking of Tecom (Dubai Media City and Dubai Internet City) the Knowledge Village from 6am to 8pm, and the fare would be applicable daily around-the-clock to the multi-level parking buildings,” explained Al Reda.
Bus service timings
The bus service would run during the month of Ramadan as follows:
- In main stations such as Gold Souq and Ghubaiba, the service would start at 5am and end at 12 midnight.
- In subsidiary stations, such as Al Qusais, the service would operate from 5:15am to 12 midnight, and Route C01 from Satwa Station would be operational around-the-clock.
- Jebel Ali Station would operate buses from 05:30am to 10:30pm, and Al Quoz Industrial Area Station would operate from 05:15am to 12 midnight.


- Deira City Center, and Karama stations would operate from 6am up to 11pm.
- External stations, such as Sharjah (Jubail) would be open 24-hours a day.
- Abu Dhabi Station would operate from 5am to 12:25am (past midnight).
- Fujairah station would be open from 5:55am until 9:35pm.
- Ajman station would be open from 5am to 10pm.
- Hatta station would operate from 5:30am up to 9:30pm.
Metro timings
“As for the metro service timing, all stations on the Red Line would open from Saturday to Wednesday from 5:30am to 12:00am (midnight). On Thursday the service would be from 5:30am to 1am (of the following day), and on Friday from 10am to 1am (of the following day). All stations on the Green Line would open from Saturday to Wednesday from 5:50am to 12 midnight, on Thursday from 5:50am to 1am (of the following day), and on Friday from 10am to 1am (of the following day),” explained Al Reda.
Tram timings
Detailing the timing of the Dubai Tram, Al Reda said: “The Dubai Tram would offer service from Saturday to Thursday starting from 6:30am up to 1am (of the following day), and on Friday the service timing would be from 9am to 1am (of the following day).”
Marine transit
Explaining the timing of the marine transit modes, Al Reda said: “The weekly schedule of water transit means would be as follows: Water Bus at the Marina stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace and Marina Promenade) would operate from 12pm (at noon) to 12am (midnight).
“The Water Taxi service at the Marina Station would run from 2pm to 10pm, at Al Ghubaiba Station from 4pm to 10pm, at the Palm Jumeirah Atlantis area from 4pm to 10pm, and at Jumeirah Rixos Palm from 11am to 5pm. Dubai Ferry would operate from Al Ghubaiba Station at 11am and 06:30pm, and from the Marina station at 11am, 5pm and 6:30pm.”
The Abra will operate during Ramadan as follows: traditional Abra at Dubai Creek stations (Al Ghubaiba, Al Sabkha, Baniyas, and Old Dubai Souq) will operate from 10am up to 12am (midnight). Blue Abra will operate as follows: Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Abra from 8am to 11pm, Al Mamzar abra from 8pm to 2am (of the following day), Atlantis Abra from 1pm to 9pm, and the air-conditioned abra at Al Jaddaf station at the Dubai Festival City from 7am up to 12am (midnight).
Customer service centres
In addition, Al Reda announced the revised opening and closing timings of RTA’s customer service centres.
“The customer service centres will deliver services at different times from Sunday to Thursday; where Umm Al Romool, Barsha, Deira and Karama Centres will open from 9am to 2pm, and Al Tawar, Al Manara and Al Awir centers will open from 9am to 5pm, and Jumeirah (JBR) Centre will open from 10am to 3pm,” he said.
“Modifying service delivery timings during the holy month of Ramadan aims at improving various services provided by RTA’s agencies to community members to cope with the changes in the daily life routines during the month, which are different from the days of the rest of the year,” said Al Reda.
Car testing centres
Strategic partners’ centres will operate on two shifts. Tasjeel Al Tawar, Mumayaz Car Testing (Al Mizhar Markets), Wasil Car Testing (Al Jaddaf, Al Arabic Center, Nad Al Hamar) will be open in the morning from 9am to 3pm, and in the evening from 9pm up to 2am (of the following day). Shamil Al Adid, Al Muhaisna, and Shamil Nad Al Hamar, Al Ghandi (Tamam), and Cars Testing Center will open in the morning from 9am to 3pm, and in the evening from 9pm to 12am (midnight). Tasjeel Hatta will open in the morning from 8am to 2pm, but will close in the evening. Tasjeel Jebel Ali will open in the morning from 8am to 4pm, but will close in the evening.
Tasjeel Al Qusais will open in the morning from 8am up to 5pm, and in the evening from 8pm to 3am (of the following day). Tasjeel Al Warsan, Tasjeel Al Barsha will open from 8am to 4pm and from 9pm to 2am (of the following day). Tasjeel Quick Car Testing will open from 8am to 05pm, and from 9pm up to 3am (of the following day). Mumayaz Car Testing (Al Barsha Mall) will open from 9am to 3pm, and from 9pm up to 1am (of the following day). Platinum Centre will open from 9am to 3pm, and from 8pm up to 1am (of the following day).
