Theme park Legoland Dubai will boast 15,000 models

It is the painstaking task that leaves every parent with numb fingers.

But Legoland staff will endure that hardship for Dubai’s latest theme park when they build 15,000 models – comprised of 60 million individual blocks.

The site will also feature six themed areas: LEGO City, Adventure, LEGO Kingdom, Create, LEGO Factory, and the magical Miniland.

The park is already scheduled for a 2016 launch and span some three million square feet in Jebel Ali.

New details were released as operators Merlin prepare to get the project under way.

The theme park will also boast more than 40 interactive rides, shows and attractions.

The theme park will cater to children aged 2-12, as well as family members. The site will be the seventh Legoland in the world, and the first in the Middle East.

It will join the chain of worldwide Legoland resorts and theme parks in the UK, Denmark, Germany, US, and Malaysia.
