Heart of Europe project developer promises ‘snow will fall’ on Dubai islands

A developer on Dubai’s iconic World Islands plans to introduce climate measures on his land so visitors can enjoy rain and snow all year round, including in the sweltering heat of the UAE summer.

Austrian Josef Kleindienst, CEO of the UAE-based Kleindienst Group, said work has begun on ‘The Heart of Europe’ project – a cluster of six islands in the development off Dubai.

And whether it’s the coolest idea ever or something that makes your blood run cold, Kleindienst has a “unique” plan for “the heart of The Heart of Europe”.

He said a 1.6km-long climate-control air system will enable winter weather commonly associated with Europe to come tumbling down from sunny Dubai skies.
