Family reunited after 10 years apart

Abu Dhabi: An Arab family was brought together after losing touch for ten years after their country’s embassy worked with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Police to help them find their missing relatives.
When N.S., 25, and her sister A.S., 23, landed in the UAE in search of their relatives and contacted their embassy, Abu Dhabi Police were told and set out to help them.
Lieutenant Colonel Muzeed Al Otaibi, Chief of Tourism Police Section, revealed the sisters had entered the UAE on a tourist visa and the Tourism Police immediately began finding out more details about their long lost relatives.
“Investigations then led the authorities to find out the family’s location and contact details in order to bring them together at the Tourism Police Section where the two women met with their relatives in a heart-warming scene filled with tears of joy and embraces,” Al Otaibi said.

The reunited family thanked the police and took the sisters home.
The Abu Dhabi Tourism Police was inaugurated in 2008 to start work to acquire stability in the tourism field. All steps taken by this department were done so in a bid to allow tourism to grow, giving visitors to the country a sense of safety.
