Daughter flies 4,600 miles from America to Scotland to see her long-lost father after 43 years apart - only for him to die two days later

Jim McKelvie, from Kirkcaldy, Fife, and his daughter Mary Garcia, from Texas, were reunited on his deathbed after 43 years without seeing each other face-to-face. She moved to the US with her mother in 1971 and they would not see each other again until earlier this month. The now-Mrs Garcia flew the 4,600 miles to Scotland when she found out her father was terminally ill, holding her father's hand when he died two days after her arrival
