Friday January 1 holiday not to be shifted to another day in UAE


Friday January 1 has been declared a paid holiday for private sector employees in enterprises, institutions and companies of private sector in the country that are running their workers on Friday, on the occasion of New Year's Day.
 
Saqr bin Ghobash Saeed Ghobash, Minister of Labour, has issued a circular in this regard pursuant to the provisions of Article 74 of the Federal Law No. 08 for the year 1980 concerning the regulations of labour relations and its amendments.
New Year Holiday will not be transferred to another day
The Federal Authority for Human Resources has said that the New Year's holiday for 2016, which falls on Friday, January 1, will not be transferred to another day.

On the occasion, the authority congratulated the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

It also greeted the people of the UAE and residents on the occasion
