Earlier that evening Justin Bieber was locked in conversation with Reverend Jesse Jackson while attending a Knicks game.
And perhaps the spiritual encounter had some effect on the 20-year-old pop star as he was spotted later that same night on Wednesday looking a bit more wholesome than normal.
Bieber was spotted touring a high end apartment complex in New York with his normally spiky hair pressed down giving him bangs as he wore a nice shirt, offering a reminder of his formerly clean cut image not so long ago.

Completing his attire were black trousers and pristine white sneakers as he carried a black hat in his left hand.
But things were back to normal on Thursday as he posted to Instagram a shirtless portrait of himself taking aim with a toy boy and arrow.
Tucked into his Calvin Kleins were a set of foam bullets, as he wrote: 'Locked and loaded'.

Meanwhile, the night before Bieber spent most of the game between the New York team and the Chicago Bulls chatting away to Reverend Jesse.
While many may assume that the Canadian crooner and the iconic civil rights leader may have little in common, they appeared to get on splendidly at the Wednesday night game at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The pair were sat next to the each other in the star studded stands and seemed in deep discussion.

Even when the crowd stood up to cheer on their hometown team, the pair did not break from their chat with Rev. Jackson speaking very passionately to the Baby singe who, to his credit, listened intently.
It was not just their conversation that made the pair stand out, but also because unlike the rest of the fans - including super fan director Spike Lee - who wore the orange and blue Knicks colours, neither dressed in basketball jerseys.
