'Bird of the season' falcon nets Dh315,000

A Saudi man paid SR315,000 (Dh315,000) for a falcon just a few hours after it was caught by two local men involved in falcon trading.

Mousa Al Fahiqi and Abdullah Al Anzi captured their bird by a net after luring it the snare in a grassy area in the northwestern town of Tabarjal.

“The falcon is of a rare breed and was described by experts as the ‘bird of the season’. It was sold for SR315,000 to well-known falconer Saad Al Shaleekhi,” the Saudi Arabic language daily ‘Arar’ said.
